Will it hurt or cut my skin?

No. The file head sits inside a clear safety guard, so it only works on the surface of rough, dry skin. Use light pressure and short strokes, and stop if your skin feels tender. Avoid broken, bleeding or irritated skin.

What’s the difference between the two sides?

One side is coarser for buffing away rougher patches. The other is finer for polishing the skin smooth afterwards. Start with the coarse side, then finish with the fine side.

How often should I use it?

Once or twice a week is plenty for most people. Little and often works better than one long session, and gives your skin time to recover in between.

How do I keep it clean?

Rinse the head under running water after each use, shake off the excess and let it air-dry before putting it away.

Can I replace the file head?

Yes. The head can be removed and swapped for a fresh one, so the handle lasts far longer than a disposable file.
